Modified my program

 I modified my program so that it can place dots inside an ellipse.

Next time I'm planning to incorporate a spiral. It seems like it will take some time. The surrounding ellipse is blurred due to the distribution.

The description of this work is reproduced below.

This is the first work of "The Trace". I designed a footprint of my lovely pet.

The various colored dots were created using a program I developed. A combination of yellow-based colors looks like gold. This is a new way of expression.

 Georges Seurat, a neo-impressionist, used dots to express the colors of light, but because he used brushes and paints, he was unable to exceed the limits of his labor and technique. On the other hand, digital dots emit light and have a different coloring mechanism than paint. This is because the color development of paint is a subtractive mixture, while digital is an additive mixture. When you mix colors, paint becomes black. With digital, when you mix light, it becomes white. Since digital technology can express light as dots, it is possible to create a new world of colors different from that of paint.

 In this first piece, I use red, green, yellow, and black dots, and the proportion of the color mixture is less black and a little more yellow. This causes the entire color to shine yellow, giving it the appearance of gold.

 I am pursuing new color expressions.

"The Trace"の最初の作品です。わたしのかわいいペットの足跡をデザインしました。

種々の色の点はわたしが開発したプログラムで作り出しました。黄色を主とした色の合成は金色のように見えます。これは新しい表現の方法です。

　neo-impressionismのGeorges Seuratは点で光の色を表現しましたが、筆と絵具を用いていたため、労力と技術の限界を超えることができませんでした。一方、デジタルのドットは発光しており絵具とは発色のメカニズムが異なります。絵具の発色は減算混合であり、デジタルは加算混合だからです。絵具は色を混合すると黒色になります。デジタルでは光を混合すると白色になるのです。デジタルは光をドットで表現できるため、絵具とは異なる色の新しい世界を作ることができのです。

今回の最初の作品では赤と緑と黄色と黒の点を使い、色の配合の割合として黒を少なく黄色を少し多くしています。このため色全体が黄色を光らせる方向になり金色のように見えるのです。

  Without color, it would be a world of the dead. Color creates our world and enriches it. Classical paintings are one way of doing this. The paint used to create these paintings utilizes the reflection of light. However, it does not create light itself. On the other hand, digital explession creates colored light. It operates on a different mechanism than paint. The mechanism of color mixing is different from that of paint. I aim to create a new world of colors using digital tools. 　色の無い世界は死者の世界です。色は私たちの世界を作り出し、私たちの世界を豊かにします。古典的な絵画はその方法の一つです。この絵画を描く手段の絵具は光の反射を利用しています。しかし、光を作り出しているわけではありません。一方、デジタルは光の色を作り出します。絵具とは異なったメカニズムです。混色のメカニズムが絵具とは異なるのです。

　わたしはデジタルを利用した新しい色の世界を作り出すことを目指しています。皆さん、私のアートを楽しんでください。
